Throwback Thursday Link-Up: Taking You Back to 1988

Today, I am helping Megan host Throwback Thursday! I'm super excited to do this and to see all of your throwback posts :)

Welcome to the Throwback Thursday link up. Thank you to everyone who linked up with us two weeks ago!

What is Throwback Thursday?
Throwback Thursdays will be a day for you to link up anything from your past. It can be old pictures, old songs, old TV shows, old movies, your childhood crush, what was popular, your favorites, older fashion. Anything goes! Throwback Thursdays will be the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.

Throwback Thursday

Rules:
In this link up, we simply ask that you visit your host and guest host. If you like what you see, we'd love to have you follow along. It will also make it easier for you to participate every time if you follow your host.

We also ask that you link back to Just a Small Town Girl in your TT post.

I hope you all enjoyed my TT post from two Thursday's ago. If you didn't get a chance to read it, or if you are new around here, you can see a bunch of old pictures of yours truly here.

We all know that the cost of EVERYTHING is crazy high now a days.
Like everything. Especially gas.

So today, I want to send you on a little journey back in time and share some interesting things from the year I was born.

It cost about $138,000 to buy a home

A first class stamp was $0.22,

{let that sink in for a minute when you pump gas later for $3.75}

  1. It's kind of depressing how much cheaper everything was! And that Michael Jackson had the number one song compared to the Thrift Shop guys (Bleh!). What is the world coming to?!?!

  2. Great minds think alike. I wrote about the same thing! :) I even have a lot of the same facts as you. It's so fun to see all the price changes (although I wish they weren't changing!) and the movies and TV shows, etc. Thanks again for guest hosting!

  3. Just followed you through Megan's link up! Always love finding (relatively) local bloggers! It is downright depressing how much prices have increased! I actually learned something from your post... I didn't know that I was older than the Doppler Radar!
